Meet Autumn

Autumn — The Change’s perimenopause AI coach

Autumn is the AI coach inside The Change. She is designed to help people make sense of changing patterns, prepare better questions and find practical next steps as they explore perimenopause.

What Autumn is—and is not

  • Autumn is an AI coach, not a doctor, nurse or human clinician.
  • She does not diagnose conditions, prescribe treatment or replace individual medical care.
  • She does not have medical credentials, and The Change does not present her as medically reviewed, doctor reviewed or clinically reviewed.
  • Her editorial articles are written with Autumn and published by The Change. They use established clinical guidance and published scientific research, with the sources shown on each article.

How the articles are made

Ask Autumn articles begin with real questions women ask about sleep, memory, periods, temperature changes, mood, work and everyday life. The editorial process checks the question, the evidence, the language around uncertainty, the medical safety boundaries, the internal links and the article metadata before publication.

Sources are selected from major clinical organisations and guidelines, systematic reviews and meta-analyses, peer-reviewed research, and reputable academic medical institutions. Sources are opened and checked before they are cited. Where a qualified clinician has genuinely reviewed a specific article, that fact will be identified precisely. Otherwise, it will not be implied.

Using Autumn thoughtfully

Use Autumn and the Ask Autumn library for education, reflection and preparation. If a symptom is new, severe, persistent, worrying or affecting your health, speak with a qualified clinician or local health service. An article can help you form better questions; it cannot tell you what a symptom means in your individual situation.
